Edgi-Talk is a polished reference design for Infineon’s latest PSOC Edge device, which features a high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M55 processor, Helium™ DSP technology, an Arm® Ethos™-U55 micro NPU, a low-power Cortex-M33 processor, and an ultra-low-power NNLite neural network accelerator.

With dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0 support, Edgi-Talk has reliable connectivity suitable for IoT, smart homes, wearables, and industrial applications. The development board comes pre-bundled with the XiaoZhi AI large language model, enabling smooth and intelligent interaction right out of the box. Whether you’re building a voice assistant prototype, creating a smart sensor hub, or developing the next generation of human-computer interfaces, this reference design allows developers to easily achieve real-time and responsive AI experiences.

Battery Operation

Edgi-Talk was designed to be powered either via USB or by an internal battery. While Edgi-Talk comes with a USB Type-C cable, it does not come with a battery. However, you can easily install a standard 500 mAh 502540 lipo battery commonly available for use with many other devices.

Manufacturing Plan

All manufacturing, including PCB fabrication, PCB assembly, enclosure production, wiring and assembly, and final testing and quality control checks will take place with trusted partners in China, where we can oversee the initial production run in person.

Fulfillment & Logistics

We will send finished Edgi-Talk units in bulk to Crowd Supply’s fulfillment partner, Mouser Electronics, who will handle distribution to backers worldwide. You can learn more about Crowd Supply’s fulfillment service under Ordering, Paying, and Shipping in their guide.

Risks & Challenges

Our manufacturing plan already accounts for present-day tariffs (as of December 2025), but those could change. In the worst case, might have to refund customers or ask them to pay additional tariffs, though we will work hard to avoid that. The usual hardships of creating a new product exist for Edgi-Talk, but we are an experienced team with other products under our belts, and Edgi-Talk is already at an advanced stage, so we don’t expect to run into anything we can’t overcome.
