Testing the Bee Motion S3

I hope you all are doing well. We’ve had another successful week of the campaign and I’m blown away by the continued support! As a quick reminder if you have any technical questions about the Bee Motion S3 please feel free to use the "Ask a technical question" feature at the bottom of the campaign page to ask me a question directly. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Testing, Testing

The Bee Motion S3 is packed with awesome features, but that also means there are a lot of features that i need to test on each board before being shipped to you. So how do I do that? The simplest way to accomplish this task is to load a custom program onto the board that will run though all the functionality and report back a pass/fail for each function on the board.

I built a simple test jig in conjunction with the custom code that will turn on LEDs to verify all the GPIO work on the board, and on top of that I use the built-in RGB LED to display different statuses depending on what items may have failed or passed.

The entire process of loading the program, running the code, verifying all the functions, and then loading the shipping code takes about 1 min and 30 seconds. So pretty fast!
