Hi all! Great news: Mathpads have arrived at the Mouser Electronics warehouse! Distribution to backers should happen no later than December 12th. While this is later than the November 29th target, I’m excited to get these into your hands soon. Mouser’s distribution timeline was longer than I anticipated and I apologize for the delay.

A LaTeX Mode Bug

Your Mathpad comes pre-programmed with firmware version 1.1.0. A bug was discovered in this version, related to LaTeX symbols with limits such as integrals and sums. The issue has been fixed in version 1.2.0.

What Does This Mean for You?

If your keyboard layout is US ANSI (standard layout in the US) and you intend to use the LaTeX mode: You should update to the newest firmware to get this bugfix.

For all other users: No action required. The bug only affects LaTeX mode and users with non-US ANSI layouts will install the newest firmware as part of the initial setup.
