Project update 1 of 4
First, thanks to everyone who has supported this project. I can’t meet the production minimums without your support, and every pledge gets me that much closer to covering the cost of the run!
Second, I thought I’d share a new feature I’ve hacked into the firmware since the campaign was launched. As I was optimizing the sound handling routines, I realized I could add a mode where I compute the RMS of the ambient sound level and display the approximate sound level in dB. It seems reasonably accurate (at least compared to the sound level app on my phone).
This feature might be handy if you’re ever wondering exactly how loud a given venue is!
