Our goal for the S+P Collar Shirt was to design a high-quality dress shirt that was as functional as it was fashionable, and to ensure that it lived up to West Daily’s commitment to sustainability and responsible production techniques. And that’s exactly what we achieved.
The S+P Collar Shirt is for professionals who want to optimize for style without sacrificing efficiency. For the entrepreneur who wants to bike to work but not look like they did once they get there. It’s for business travelers who need to be able to step off of an all-day flight and walk straight into their meeting.
The S+P Collar Shirt is cut-and-sewn in Oregon and constructed from high-quality, hydrophobic textile that is water-resistant and stain-repellent, with a subtle elasticity to allow for freedom of movement. Its anti-microbial quality resists odor-causing bacteria, ensuring that the shirt is as fresh at the end of the day as it was at the start of it. In addition to its comfort and durability, the textile used in the S+P Collar Shirt is a bluesign®-verified product that ensures an ecologically responsible manufacturing process.
bluesign® certified material eliminates harmful substances right from the beginning of the manufacturing process and sets and controls standards for an environmentally friendly and safe production. This not only ensures that the final textile product meets very stringent consumer safety requirements worldwide but also provides confidence to the consumer to acquire a sustainable product.
bluesign certified processes manage natural resources responsibly, reduce water and air emissions, improve wastewater treatment and reduce its ecological footprint. Suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and brands have to go through rigorous tests in order to verify compliance with bluesign criteria.
The feelgood technology 3XDRY® makes textiles water and stain repellant on the outside and water absorbent on the inside. Clothes finished with 3XDRY keep the body dry, minimize perspiration marks, and stimulate a cooling effect.
The 3XDRY-Advanced Moisture Management-finish combines two technologies in one textile. On the outside, the textile is finished with a hydrophobic (water repellent) function. On the inside, a hydrophilic finish absorbs perspiration. Moisture resulting from perspiration is absorbed quickly, transported away from the body, and distributed over a larger surface area. The 3XDRY finish does not impact the appearance, feel and air permeability of the fabric.
The West Daily S+P Collar shirt will be available in a short-sleeve and long-sleeve version. These are the actual garment dimensions. You should choose a size larger than your own exact measurements. Body length and sleeve length are taken from the center back of the neck.
|Sizes / Measurements||Chest||Neck||Sleeve||Waist|
|Extra Large||46”-48”||17”-17 1/2”||35”-36”||40”-42”|

Our factory has a 100 shirt minimum. Once we have sold the minimum number of shirts needed we will begin production. The production time for sewing the shirts is between 4 to 7 weeks. We will need another 2 to 3 weeks for shipment. Our estimated shipping date for the S+P Shirt is January 2016, but if we reach our goal early enough, there is a possibility that we could start filling orders in December.
Typically for a project like this, the biggest challenge is purchasing the fabric and waiting for it to get made. We’ve taken that challenges out of this project and purchased our material up front. Now we need your help to hit our factory’s 100 shirt minimum for production to begin.
