In our workshops at Teardown 2024 and 2025 we provided a pre-built image of the Altera JBC player running on the Raspberry Pi RP2040 MCU that enabled drag-n-drop programming of FPGAs. Recently Altera updated the license in the source code to MIT-0 making this easier to share, and the code is now available on GitHub, with some additional tricks like support for the newer RP2350 MCU. Check out our blog to learn more and find a link to the code.
Two projects in the Altera Innovation Lab recently hit important milestones: Atum A3 Nano released new demos and Haasoscope Pro added software features like FFT, filter options, persist, X-Y mode, reference waveforms, math, measurements and more. Read on for more details.
CE certification is taking longer than expected. In the meantime, check out the the latest Atum A3 Nano design examples in GitHub.

With the Haasoscope Pro basically working fine, I've spent the past month expanding the software functionality, a LOT. There've also been a couple firmware functionality additions. This is now a pretty full-fledged oscilloscope program!
