ANAVI TPM 2.0 is a user-friendly add-on board for Raspberry Pi single board computers that interfaces via the SPI bus and is based on the Infineon Optiga SLB 9672 TPM 2.0 chip.
Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 is an industry standard designed to deliver robust, hardware-based security. It supports trusted computing by securely managing cryptographic keys and enabling features such as disk encryption, device authentication, digital signatures, and measured boot. Commonly integrated into both enterprise and consumer systems, TPM 2.0 plays a vital role in protecting sensitive information and ensuring the integrity of computing platforms.
Designed as open source hardware, ANAVI TPM 2.0 is intended for developers, hobbyists, and professionals who require enhanced security for Raspberry Pi-based projects. It provides a reliable solution for secure key storage and cryptographic operations, and it can also function as a True Hardware Random Number Generator (TRNG), offering a high-entropy source suitable for security-critical applications.
ANAVI TPM 2.0 will have two configurations to suit different hardware setups:
Choose the version that best fits your Raspberry Pi case or enclosure. The vertical configuration does not interfere with the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler for Raspberry Pi 5.
Trusted Platform Module: Infineon Optiga SLB 9672 TPM 2.0
Standards compliance: Compliant with TCG TPM Library specification revision 1.59 and PC Client Platform TPM Profile (PTP) version 1.05
Random Number Generator (RNG): implemented according to NIST SP 800-90A using entropy source according to NIST SP 800-90B
Compatibility: Works with all Raspberry Pi single board computers
Interface: Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)
Compact: Only uses 10 header pins (2x5 pins: 17 to 26), leaving other GPIO pins free
Secure mounting: Small hole included for physical attachment
Dimensions: 18.4 x 12.9 mm (0.72 x 0.51 in)
ANAVI TPM 2.0 is a fully open-source project that combines open hardware with free and open-source software. The printed circuit board was designed using KiCad, an open-source electronics design suite. It is available on GitHub under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license grants you the freedom to modify, adapt, and build upon the design for any purpose, including commercial use. That means you can incorporate it into a custom HAT design if you wish.
ANAVI TPM 2.0 is certified by the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA) under UID BG000152. This certification ensures that all design files, documentation, and source code are freely available for review, modification, and manufacturing.
ANAVI TPM 2.0 is compatible with the tpm-slb9670.dtbo device tree binary overlay, which is included in the official Raspberry Pi Linux kernel, enabling seamless integration with Raspberry Pi OS and other Linux distributions.
Reinforcing our commitment to local manufacturing, every unit is prepared and packaged in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. To ensure consistently high quality, the PCB (printed circuit board) is crafter with a green solder mask, white silkscreen labeling and a gold surface finish. ANAVI TPM 2.0 comes fully assembled, ready for immediate use straight out of the box.
All ANAVI TPM 2.0 add-on boards for Raspberry Pi will be shipped to our backers using Crowd Supply’s fulfillment services.
Once manufacturing is complete, we’ll make a bulk shipment to Crowd Supply, and from there, the packages will be shipped out to our backers. For more details, please refer to the Crowd Supply guide to ordering, paying, and shipping.
We are committed to sustainability, so all units are packaged inside eco-friendly, recyclable cardboard boxes.
We have already successfully manufactured and assembled a small batch of ANAVI TPM 2.0 add-on boards to verify functionality and confirm readiness for mass production!
We have a proven track record of delivering projects on time, and often ahead of schedule, as demonstrated by our previous crowdfunding campaigns. Our journey began in 2017 with the ANAVI Infrared pHAT add-on board for Raspberry Pi, and most recently, we successfully delivered the ANAVI Miracle Emitter RISC-V-based board ready for home automation of addressable 5 V LED strip. Over the years, we have built a trusted supply chain by partnering with small local factories in Plovdiv and the surrounding regions. We maintain stock of all components to minimize manufacturing risks and guarantee timely delivery.
