Shipping News and Help Getting Started

by Sebastian Holzapfel

Hi all!

I’m excited to announce that the first batch of Tiliqua modules, Screens, Expanders and Soldiercrabs have arrived at Mouser’s warehouse, where they are being distributed to backers!

For those who ordered, please check your shipping address at Crowd Supply and watch your emails. It was a lot of work getting everything assembled and packed up nicely!

Every part gets its own box!

First batch of 150 boxes (packed into bigger boxes) just before it was picked up!

Am I in This Batch or the Next?

This first batch of ~150 boxes should fulfil every order that was placed before the end of October.

I’m still blocked waiting on a couple of small components for the next batch, which will be for remaining and future orders. At the moment, I’m planning to ship this second batch around the end of January.

How Do I Get Started?

I’ve added some quickstart documentation for all the different bit of hardware over on tiliqua.io - check it out! This is still very much work-in-progress but, there should already be enough to start using Tiliqua in your system (and to try building / flashing your own bitstreams!).

Every Tiliqua module comes pre-flashed, so there is no need to flash anything to [start using Tiliqua in your system straight away]

To make things a bit easier to use out of the box, I squeezed in a couple of features I had been thinking about: A) a little picture of the jack mapping of every bitstream in the bootloader and B) scrollable help pages in some bitstreams, which depict the internal signal flow:

For support, feedback, or questions, feel free to join the discussion over on our apf.audio Matrix channel, file an issue or start a discussion in our GitHub repository, or email me directly using the Ask-a-Question form on our Crowd Supply campaign page.

What’s next?

Over the next couple of months, I’ll be working hard on building the second batch of Tiliqua, Screens etc. and polishing the documentation / tutorials along the way. I’ll be sure to post more updates here as things move along!

Thanks again for supporting the project and your patience up until this point. And please do send pictures of Tiliqua doing stuff in your system! I’m super excited to see what you make with it.
