Open source closed loop motor controller for not-so-small machines

Project update 6 of 6

Boards Have Arrived

The first 80 or so Tarocco kits (boards, pigtails and standoffs) arrived to the Crowd Supply warehouse on Monday. The plan is to ship the controllers to those who didn’t order a motor first. The other items, i. e. the rest of the kits and the servomotors will be shipped by the end of March.

The firmware should now support step pulse rates up to 1 MHz, but I don’t have a high enough resolution encoder or sufficiently fast motor to test this in real life yet. You should keep your firmware updated to take advantage of the recently added features. I’ll upload the revised manual in the following days, so you can keep track of said features easily.

I also wanted to let you know that the original 360 division encoder disk was changed for a 400 division one, so those who ordered the servomotors are getting a bit more resolution.

If you have moved or would like to change your shipping address for any reason, you can update it online through your account on Crowd Supply. If your account needs updating, please do so within 48 hours.

When Will My Order Ship?

We will begin filling (board only) orders Friday, March 17th, in the order that they were placed. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number when your order is shipped.

When Will My Order Arrive?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. For orders destined for outside the US, it is not uncommon for the tracking information to cease being updated after it leaves the US, though for some countries (e.g., UK, Germany, Australia) the packages can continue to be tracked using your national postal website and the same tracking number. If there is a delay in delivering your package, you should check with your local customs office to make sure they are not holding it and waiting for you to pick it up.
