The Inkplate family has a new member

Growing the Inkplate family has been such fun and great experience for us, we have decided to carry on. We went down the list of your favourite features for an e-paper board and we came across touchscreen and screen lighting capabilites. The Inkplate 6PLUS brings those capabilities to you:
Inkplate 6PLUS is currently crowdfunding on Crowd Supply. It is same, easy-to-use e-paper board with 6.0’ display. It improves many aspects of the Inkplate 10. Although the screen is much smaller, the resolution is almost the same. The 6PLUS uses the newer generation of e-paper panels which achieve 212 PPI (pixels per inch), compared to 150 PPI for the Inkplate 10.
The most notable difference is, of course, the touch screen. The 6PLUS will support two simultaneous finger touches for your interactive e-paper applications. We’ve also added front lighting, which will let you use the board in almost any light conditions, from direct sun to total darkness. The screen refresh time is still as great, with only 1.27s for full screen refresh, and it still supports partial refreshes and greyscale mode. For programming, the classic Arduino library, MicroPython, and ESP-IDF are available.

The Inkplate 6PLUS is currently crowdfunding on Crowd Supply and is expected to ship by November 2021 (a little longer timeframe due to the electronic components shortage).
