Production Update

by Jason V

The battle with the electronics supply chain was tough, but we have emerged! We’re happy to report that DFC is in production right now with our contract manufacturer in the US. It took finding a number of alternative components, so we’re thrilled to reach this milestone in the face of a challenging environment.

After the electronics are built, we’ll do the final assembly and testing, followed by Crowd Supply shipping them out. It’s going to be tight, but everything is on-track right now to ship by the end of October.

Other bits and pieces of the final product are coming together as well, as shown by the pile of USB cables we just received here.

We’re looking forward to helping you free your data very soon!

Additional FAQ

Do I have to take DFC off if my partner, housemate, etc. want to use the bike but don’t want to use DFC?

No, once DFC is added to your bike you never have to take it off, whether you use it or not. The bike and tablet function normally with DFC plugged in and whether it’s powered on or off.

Additionally, DFC supports two external wireless connections, so you can chase the leaderboard in a class at the same time as using Zwift and recording to your watch. Or take a scenic ride while doing a TrainerRoad workout and recording to a cycling head unit. You’ve got plenty of options with DFC!
