Production Update

by Eric E

Hey CANtact Pro Backers!

Production Delay

Some bad news, our production has been delayed. This was due to a combination of a few factors, and we’re sorry that it’s taking longer than expected to get your CANtacts built.

Right now, all the components our first batch (for backer orders) are on the way for final assembly. We’re anticipating having these shipped to Crowd Supply for final distribution by the end of October.

Please take this time to check your delivery address, and update it through your Crowd Supply account if needed. Updating your shipping address helps avoid delays and get your orders shipped successfully. Once your order details have been sent out by our warehouse team for processing, it can be hard or impossible to re-route a shipment.

Contact Crowd Supply Support with any shipping questions or concerns.

Modified Linux Driver

However, we do have some good news! While waiting for parts to arrive, we’ve put together a modified Linux driver for CANtact Pro that supports SocketCAN. This driver adds support for CAN FD, so you can send and receive FD frames using the standard Linux CAN utilities! Source for the driver is available on Github.

Sorry for the delays, and thanks for your patience,

— Eric
