The Key Unit is a compact mechanical key input device designed for enhanced functionality and versatility. It features a single key input along with a built-in RGB LED, giving both input and visual feedback capabilities.

The key shaft of the unit uses a Blue switch, renowned for its tactile bump and audible click. This switch delivers satisfying tactile feedback and an audio click sound with each press, enhancing the overall user experience.

Embedded within the Key Unit is a programmable RGB LED based on SK6812 technology. This LED supports 256 levels of brightness, allowing for precise control over lighting effects. The Key Unit also provides two digital I/O (Input/Output) pins that can be used for monitoring key status and controlling the RGB LED. These I/Os enable monitoring the detection of key presses and releases, as well as control of the LED’s color and brightness levels.

With its compact design and versatile features, the Key Unit can be used for in multiple Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
