Project update 8 of 8

Production Progress and Shipping Delay

by Ali Slim

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share a quick update on the project.

The GPS issue appears to be resolved with the new hardware design. GPS performance has improved significantly. However, during in-vehicle testing I’ve noticed some inconsistent behavior. Most of the time the GPS performs normally, but occasionally it takes longer than expected to acquire a fix. To investigate this further, I’ve sent the samples back for additional antenna testing.

The redesigned LTE antenna is now ready (see the image below). I’m currently carrying out extensive testing to make sure everything is working reliably and that I don’t overlook any issues this time.

The new plastic enclosure is also complete, and the injection mold is currently being manufactured. It should be ready in approximately three weeks.

Unfortunately, this means I’ll need to delay delivery until October. I know delays are disappointing, and I sincerely appreciate your patience and support. Taking a little more time now will help ensure everyone receives a reliable, well-tested product.

Thank you all for your continued support! I’ll keep you updated as we make progress.
