We’ve met and greatly exceeded our funding goal! Thank you to every backer and to all of our subscribers who shared the project, asked questions, and offered feedback that helped move this project forward.
Flow is still available at campaign pricing until the campaign closes. After that, Flow Color will increase from $719 to $799, and Flow Mono will increase from $619 to $699. This reflects the move from campaign pricing to post-campaign pricing as we prepare for production.
We began working on e-ink in 2022 because we wanted to make them faster, more open, and expand the range of possible use cases. That work led to the Paper Dev Kit and now to Flow.
We’ve also been grateful to see early visibility and reviews of Flow from My Deep Guide, IEEE Spectrum, Tom’s Hardware, hackster.io, Hackaday and many more. Thank you for taking the time to look closely at the project and share it with more people.
Just as important is the community forming around this work. People are helping one another answering questions, exploring e-ink performance, improving it’s quality, building cyberdecks, laptops, testing different ways to engage with technology and changing where and how they work.
What’s Next
With the campaign fully funded, here’s where things stand:
- Board design and chassis finalized: After many iterations and refinements, the driver board and chassis design is complete.
- Panels secured: Supply is confirmed Flow's color and mono panels.
- Manufacturing partners ready: Once certification is complete, our partners are set to begin production.
