Update 1

That was an intense first day of the crowdfunding campaign! $200 have already been raised, which might not seem like much, but it’s 18% of the entire campaign goal. We’re on a roll; let’s keep it up!

Now, a bunch of questions have rolled in, so a “Questions” section has been added to the campaign page to put answers to particularly noteworthy questions. Two such questions have been answered so far.

A couple of people have also asked about the license of Hexoshi, which made me realize that the license was never indicated anywhere on the campaign page! That’s not ideal, so this has been corrected. The license of the code and the art assets has been indicated in the Features & Specifications section. The source code is under the GNU GPL, while the art assets are variously under CC BY, CC BY-SA, and CC0.

And as a final note, I want to thank the many people who have been sharing kind words, and I want to especially thank the people who have been telling others about this campaign. Keep it up! The more eyeballs see this campaign, the better! :)
