In Teardown Session 43, Crowd Supply’s Helen Leigh speaks with 12-year-old Zeke Wheeler about satellite tracking and ham radio. Zeke shares insights from their experimentation with OreSat, the handheld satellite ground station for receiving Wi-Fi from space, designed by the Portland State Aerospace Society at Portland State University.
Zeke has a popular YouTube channel (@KJ7NLL) and is now in the final stages of programming his original 3D printed desktop satellite tracker to present at the NWSE science fair at PSU in April.
