LED Pendulum Demo

Since we launched the campaign two weeks ago, we have over 300 backers of this project. The production run of the HiFive1 Rev Bs are well underway and the PCBs are being fabricated.

As a fun little project, one of our engineers, Nate, created an LED pendulum using an LED light ring and an accelerometer connected to the HiFive1 Rev B. The LED ring lights up based on the rotation of the platform.

The primary components for the project are

Running on Zephyr, the application that runs on HiFive1 Rev B reads the effect of gravity on the accelerometer over I2C and lights up the corresponding LED using the SPI controller. The demo code is available at https://github.com/sifive/hifive1-revb-pendulum along with the instructions on how to build the hardware.

Happy hacking.
