VESA ESP breathes new life into old, dusty monitors by transforming them into vibrant, customizable displays for hackers, makers, and small businesses. Easily mounted on the back of monitors, this open-source solution lets you showcase discounts, digital art, or DIY projects with minimal cost and effort.
This sleek, lightweight mounting plate accessory securely attaches the main device to standard VESA mounting arms with included metal spacers, ensuring a stable, unobtrusive fit without compromising monitor functionality.
Our ESP32-based device connects to VGA displays, using an SD card for content and GPIOs for interfacing, turning old monitors into digital signage for shops, digital art displays, or data dashboards, with hackable, customizable firmware and VESA-compatible mounting.
Since it’s open hardware, it can be used for any number of things. Use its GPIO inputs to hack together a custom video game console, or hook up input devices for an interactive kiosk.
VESA ESP is open hardware, and is certified as such by OSHWA. All of our source files are available on our GitHub page, and you can read more documentation on our website.
