Documentation, New Enclosure Designs, and Website Repair

by STEMinds

New Enclosure Designs Are in the Works

We are working to design new 3D enclosures for the extension and valve boards. We hope to finish them by the end of next week. The boards have been long awaited, since Eduponics v1.0, as we only had support for mini-board 3D enclosures. We hope these enclosures will allow our backers to fit their Eduponics neatly next to the greeny leaves, making sure Eduponics is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

We’ve Begun Working on New Documentation (and Fixed Our Website…)

It’s been a heck of a week! Anyone who tried to access the steminds.com website probably realized it was down. We’ve been working on new documentation, which is available at steminds.com/docs/, but hadn’t realized the server was out of space. Because of that, corruption occurred when reading and writing to the database and the server went totally belly up.

In the end, we were able to recover the database with all the written documentation and the website is now back online.

Good lesson learned! We are going to keep the GitHub documentation while also maintaining a new type of documentation on the website which will be easier to read and more responsive. The documentation is not yet finished, although all the code for Eduponics v2.0 is available on GitHub already. We’ll continue to write documentation for each and every functionality, ensuring anyone can get started right out of the box.
