Tracking Down Components & Getting Ready for PCBA

by Roni G

Happy Friday everybody,

The support and feedback we’ve received so far have been incredible. Without our loyal backers, none of this would have been possible, so thank you!

Feedback

Since launching the Eduponics Mini campaign, we have heard from several backers and potential backers, and we’re doing our best to respond within 12 hour. (It usually takes us less than six hours to reply.) We very much encourage everyone to write in with questions and comments so we can address them properly. :)

Among this feedback has been a great deal of interest in the Eduponics Mini Extension Board. Next week, we intend to create a brief introduction video that reveals a little surprise we’ve been working on. It’s a small improvement, but it’s one we think you’ll like. :) so good things are definitely coming down the pipe!

Component Availability

By next week, all components should have arrived, and we will begin PCB Assembly for the additional boards.

There are widespread shortages in the semi-conductor market, and they have affected the BME280 sensor we use in the Eduponics Mini ESP32 Dev Board. Not only is this sensor hard to find, but its price has gone up as well. However, we want to assure you that we’ve managed to secure 300 pcs (so far), and the price difference is small enough that we can absorb it without it affecting the crowdfunding price of Eduponics Mini.

Thanks again for your continued support. We couldn’t have done this without you!
