The D8M-GPIO camera dev kit is an 8 megapixel camera module that combines a MIPI camera, a MIPI decoder, and a standard 2x20 pin GPIO connector interface for connecting to hosts such as Terasic DE-series FPGA kits.
The camera sends MIPI video signal packets to the MIPI decoder, which converts them into a 10-bit parallel Bayer pattern. The decoded data is transmitted via the 2x20 pin GPIO connector. The camera’s built-in voice coil motor (VCM) controls the focal length, which can be set via an I²C interface.
The D8M-GPIO Camera Kit can connect to DE-series FPGA boards, such as the DE1-SoC shown below.
