Project update 3 of 12

We Are Live!

You can finally order your very own TinyPICO - the worlds smallest fully featured ESP32 development board.

TinyPICO is a dual-core, 240 Mhz development board with Wi-Fi, BLE, 4 MB of extra PSRAM, battery management, and on-board USB, all in a tiny 18 x 32 mm breadboard friendly package.

It’s been such an amazing journey getting to this point, and to have made such an amazing board that hits every goal we set out to achieve is just mind blowing.

General Update

The last few weeks had us focusing on all of the last marketing requirements needed to get the campaign launched.

Designing and making hardware is lots of fun, but launching a campaign around it takes a lot of time, planning, and energy, and we did it!

TinyPICO GitHub Repository

We are still collating content for the repository. All of the hardware will be up a day or so after launch, and we’ll be adding both MicroPython and Arduino libraries and examples during the campaign.

We are releasing our hardware as open source under the CERN open hardware license, and all of our software will be released as open source under the MIT open software license.

Important Shipping Information

Delivery within the US is included in the listed price while delivery outside the US will incur the shipping surcharge listed for each pledge level.

Deliveries to outside the US will have VAT and customs duties paid in advance, so your package will ship straight to your door, and there’s no need to deal with your customs office.

More MicroPython Tutorials

Seon just released episode 4 of his MicroPython tutorial series where he covered hardware items like PWM, ADCs, timers, and interrupts, and showed just how easy these features are to use in MicroPython.

Thank you all for your support. We can’t wait to hear about the fantastic projects you make with your TinyPICO!

Cheers!

Seon & Matt
