Introducing the xSDR Module

by Andrew Avtushenko

Hi everyone,
We’d like to share an update for xMASS SDR backers and introduce xSDR, a module that originates directly from the xMASS SDR platform.

xSDR and xMASS SDR

xSDR is a core RF module from the xMASS SDR architecture. During the xMASS SDR campaign, we received consistent requests from the community asking whether the RF module itself could be available independently, without the full carrier board.

Based on this feedback, we decided to spin out xSDR as a standalone product and launch a dedicated campaign focused specifically on the module.

What is xSDR?

xSDR is a compact, single-sided M.2 software-defined radio, designed for seamless integration into modern computing platforms. The “x” stands for extended—xSDR delivers extended bandwidth and multi-channel capability while retaining the minimal footprint philosophy of xMASS SDR.

Key Highlights of xSDR

Form factor: xSDR fits the M.2 2230 A+E-key (30 mm × 22 mm) and plugs directly into laptops, tablets, smartphones, and embedded computers, no external enclosures required.

Web-native SDR experience

xSDR integrates with the wsdr.io web platform, enabling instant creation, control, and sharing of RF applications directly from a browser. No complex driver installation or software setup is required. Making it easy to work.

As always, thank you for your support.
