Built for developers working on robotics, drones, night vision, and other high-speed vision applications, the 5MP GS Pi Camera brings a true five-megapixel, global-shutter camera to the Raspberry Pi ecosystem. By eliminating rolling-shutter distortion, it delivers geometrically accurate images even when capturing fast motion – something standard Pi cameras simply can’t do.

In addition to visible-light imaging, the camera supports near-infrared (NIR) operation with software NIR augmentation, making it suitable for applications such as night vision and low-light analysis.

The 5MP GS Pi Camera combines a premium OmniVision global shutter sensor with motorized, software-controlled focus, low CPU overhead, and open-source drivers for seamless integration into real-world products. With the design finalized and prototypes fully validated, we’re ready to move into production, and we’re excited to have you with us on that journey!
