Welcome to our first weekly update! We have some incredible news to share: while we were preparing this campaign, our engineering team successfully finalized the V2 hardware.

Every single backer will receive the upgraded V2 module. The hardware and core software are officially ready. Our primary focus now is improving the Raspberry Pi software integration to ensure a seamless "out of the box" experience.

What’s New in V2?

1. 60 FPS via 22-Pin MIPI

We have upgraded the module to a 22-pin MIPI connector. By utilizing more data lanes, we’ve unlocked the ability to capture at 60 FPS. This doubling of the frame rate makes the global shutter even more effective for high-speed tracking and robotics.

2. Backwards & Cross-Platform Compatibility

While we’ve boosted the speed, we haven’t sacrificed flexibility:

• Legacy Support: Our driver allows the module to scale down to two-lane support for older Raspberry Pi boards or boards with limited MIPI lanes.
• Universal Voltage Switch: We’ve added a physical voltage switch that toggles between 1.8 V and 3.3 V. This allows you to interface with almost any development board without needing custom level-shifter adapters, just ensure your pins are correctly connected.

3. Multi-Camera Sync (Stereo Vision)

A major addition to V2 is the surface-mount connector that exposes the VSYNC and FSYNC pins directly from the sensor. This is a game-changer for users building stereo vision rigs or multi-camera arrays, as it allows for precise hardware-level synchronization between multiple sensors.

4. What’s in the Box?

To ensure you can connect to your hardware immediately, we are including two different cables with every camera:

• 22-to-22 pin cable
• 22-to-31 pin cable
