Learning Resources & Community Participation

by Mark J. Hughes, Kaushlesh C, Jesse Robinson

Dear Backers,

We are thrilled to share some more fantastic news with our amazing community: thanks to your incredible support, we are 254% funded! This project exists because of you! Please keep it up — we need your help sharing the project out in the world! Tell your friends. Tell your neighbors. Tell your friends’ neighbors. Tell your neighbors’ friends!

And if you’re not a backer yet, you’ll want to become one soon. The sooner you order, the better your chance of being in the first fulfillment group!

How Boondock Echo Works

Kaushlesh Chandel (KC), KD9VFU, is our Chief Technology Officer and he’s responsible for writing the excellent firmware on Boondock Echo device. He’s made a quick video that shows how everything works on the beta units. (Production units will replace the K1 cable with a 3.5mm TRRS jack so you can plug in just about any radio.)

Physics for Amateur Radio Operators

You might not know it, but Boondock Technologies’ website has educational articles under ‘news’. I know, I know, you’re asking "Why are your educational articles filed under ‘news’?" And the answer is "There isn’t much news, so we pivoted to non-fiction and haven’t come up with a better title yet."

We are working on an article series that attempts to explain how antennas work with the least little bit of math possible. The first article on that journey is Object Properties: Understanding the Unique Characteristics of Everything in the Universe and the second article in the series Fields as Far as the Eye Can See; both are available to read today!

If you finish those, check out the FT8 series.

Join us on Discord

We’re starting to build a vibrant, engaged community over on our Discord server. But it’s not complete without you! So join in today!

Help With Promotion

We make videos to provide you with a deeper understanding of Boondock Echo and its capabilities. And we write blogs to bring new amateur radio operators to us. But these resources are useless unless they get in front of the right people. Please share them and this campaign across your social networks. Let’s keep the momentum going and bring Boondock Echo to more people who can benefit from its groundbreaking features.

Thank you once again for your incredible support. Stay tuned for more updates and developments!

Best regards,

Jesse, KC, Mark
