You’ll be pleased to hear that, as we approach the last week of January, our production is going well and according to schedule. We’re really pleased with the results and are happy to share some of the process photos with you.

PCB Assembly Successfully Completed!

Those of you who have been following our updates will recall we started the first production batch in mid-December. The next stage was the production of the printed circuit boards (PCBs), which was a complete success with zero defects found in any of the PCBs. This then paved the way for PCB assembly, which is now complete, as you’ll see from the images below!

The above video shows pick and place of electronics components in progress. The next stage, which is not pictured, is where the boards were passed through a reflow oven to melt the solder and permanently attach the components.

What’s next?

Our next step is to package the individual Omega2 Pro units and then ship in bulk to our US fulfillment partner. In turn, our fulfillment partner will, and this is where you can start getting very excited, ship directly to backers starting on January 31st! You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number from Crowd Supply when your order ships. You can see the status of your order by logging in to your Crowd Supply account.

Overall Status Summary

1. All production is now complete and we are absolutely delighted with

the results. 2. We’re completely on track to start shipping this batch of 500 units to backers on January 31st. 3. Backers are still joining the campaign as the excitement builds. A very big thank you to everyone who has supported our project and also shown enthusiasm in sharing it with others.
