We will show an entire 5G network in a box solution on a low-cost Raspberry Pi and Lime Microsystems' Software-Defined Radio (SDR) LimeSDR XTRX module. The solution is fully compliant with open RAN standards and can be turned into a myriad of air interfaces such as FM radio, NB IoT, RedCAP and LoRa, to name a few.
Zeke’s invention, the “Affordable, Portable, Orbital Desktop Satellite Tracker,” was designed to track satellites, planets and stars. Zeke modeled the tracker in Tinkercad, 3D-printed it, designed the circuit boards in KiCAD and programmed the tracker in C. His prototype uses an accelerometer and magnetometer to measure antenna position. He hopes to have a Desktop Satellite Tracker Kit in every science classroom someday and is excited to share his invention at Teardown 2024!
Have you ever wondered where in the world the ISS is flying? Curious to see where Saturn is? How about Alpha Centauri? Visit Zeke's Desktop Satellite Tracker demo table to see how a magnetometer and accelerometer work to track satellites, planets and stars - and try it yourself!
Join us for an insightful workshop exploring the capabilities of ultra-small form factor software-defined radios (uSDRs) and the powerful Web Platform for SDR (WSDR.IO) that streamlines usability.
We designed True Wireless Valve (TWV) to achieve exceptional energy efficiency, enabling it to operate for up to two years on a single set of batteries. A key factor in this efficiency is the device's ability to enter sleep mode. TWV cannot remain asleep for too long, however, as it must be ready to respond instantly to commands from the user or automation signals from the hub. This update walks through the system of variable-polling intervals and explains how they contribute to TWV's long battery life.
We are very pleased to announce that our campaign is now live on Crowd Supply! The VXSDR 20-160 is a microwave software-defined radio (SDR) that transmits and receives from 5 to 20 GHz at 160 million samples per second. Also, if you're at IMS in Washington DC this week, please swing by our booth and have a look!
In this Teardown Session, Crowd Supply's Helen Leigh talks with Zeke Wheeler (KJ7NLL) about satellite tracking, ham radio and making contact with the ISS.
New Vaaman; Coming Soon: sSDR, Ink Console; Livestream: Zeke Speaks With the ISS; In Stock: SaraKIT, Walter, DiceKeys, Inkplate 6 MOTION, WiSer, ESParagus Media Center; Teardown 2025: Preview of Talks, Demos, and Installations
Meshtastic uses inexpensive LORA radios to create ad hoc mesh messaging networks that don't require centralized organizations or companies to operate. This makes them ideal for regional communications, and when configured properly, provides secure anonymous communications.
We're happy to announce that we've now published the pre-launch page for the Discovery Drive, an affordable automatic antenna rotator designed for the Discovery Dish and similarly sized antennas like Wi-Fi grid and Yagi antennas.
