Project update 6 of 8
We’ve finished checking out the first batch of production-design VXSDR 20-160 digital boards and initial tests of the power planes and the FPGA and ten GbE operation were fine! The next step is to integrate the digital boards with the analog boards to make the complete SDR and then test the complete radios.
The analog PCBs are at the assembler and we’ve just now shipped the parts for them, so the boards will start assembly very shortly. We expect them to be completed and returned in one or two weeks.
We have four major steps remaining before the radios are ready for production: completion of the analog boards, full system checkout, completion of the case design, and regulatory testing (which requires the actual production design including the case). If things continue to go well, we expect to have everything except the regulatory testing complete by the time the campaign closes.
If there’s any additional information you’d like, please feel free to get in touch through the Ask Vesperix Corporation a technical question link at the bottom of our Crowd Supply campaign page, and remember that the campaign pricing will only be available until July 25. We look forward to hearing from you!
