Today, we're proud to announce another milestone toward open source silicon - we're officially releasing the second generation of both the HiFive1 (called the HiFive1 Rev B) and the FE310 chip on which it's based (called the FE310-G002).
HiFive Unleashed boards have arrived at Crowd Supply for distribution. If you have moved or would like to change your shipping address for any reason, you can update it online through your Crowd Supply account. If your account needs updating, please do so within 48 hours.
In the most recent batch of HiFive1 boards, some of them were accidentally shipped without the factory image on them, so we're releasing instructions for re-flashing the HiFive1 to its factory default state.
To make Linux compilation easier, we've doubled the DDR4 RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB. With this change and lead times for a few other components being longer than quoted, we've pushed the delivery date by about six weeks to the end of February.
We have completed one round of high volume production, enough for us to deliver all of our orders! We expect to ship to Crowd Supply this month. I know you all can't wait to get your hands on the Milk-V Pioneer!
