Update 9 of 9
AMD was a proud silver sponsor of Teardown 2024, the annual hardware conference hosted by Crowd Supply in Portland, Oregon, featuring presentations, demos, installations, and workshops.
In this session, Wenting Zhang will go through the design of the Caster project which enables high refresh rate and low latency display on off-the-shelf E-Ink screen panels. Caster is an open-source low-latency electrophoretics display (like E-Ink) controller design, offering support for wide range of screens, flexible screen update control, and multiple dithering options.
This demo complements Wenting Zhang's talk, 'Making E-Ink Go Fast,' and showcases the Modos Paper Monitor and Development Kit, which will soon be available in Crowd Supply. Experience the high refresh rate and low latency made possible by Caster, an open-source low-latency electrophoretic display controller design. Test the display by writing notes, reading documents, surfing the web, watching videos, and seeing how it performs in everyday applications and other possible use cases.
Join us for an insightful workshop exploring the capabilities of ultra-small form factor software-defined radios (uSDRs) and the powerful Web Platform for SDR (WSDR.IO) that streamlines usability.
Cutting-edge SDR technology from the Wavelet Lab team
Another in-person hardware meetup took place at the Bye and Bye in Portland, Oregon on July 30, 2024. This Hardware Happy Hour was put on by Crowd Supply’s Helen Leigh, sponsored by AMD. Join us at upcoming events to share projects, tips, and all things hardware.
