Manufacturing Plan

We are currently planning to partner with PCBgogo, in China, for HSMC-160 Adapter fabrication and assembly. We have worked with them in the past—on various projects, including the HSMC-160 Adapter prototypes—and we are confident in their ability to do quality work in a timely fashion. Our first manufacturing batch will include all crowdfunding orders and some stock for post-campaign sales. All boards will be thoroughly tested before we send them off for fulfillment.

Fulfillment & Logistics

After we have received and tested the completed boards, we will ship them to Crowd Supply’s fulfillment partner, Mouser Electronics, in the United States. From there, Mouser will handle global fulfillment to backers. Please see Crowd Supply’s guide for more information about ordering, paying, and shipping.

Risks & Challenges

While the COVID-19 pandemic has reminded us all that we should not to take global supply chains for granted, we do not currently foresee any major risks with the design, manufacturing, or fulfillment of HSMC-160 Adapter. The components from which it is made are easy to find from many different suppliers, and we have been developing and testing the board for our own use. We are confident both in the design and in our manufacturing partner’s ability to make it a reality.
