Project Update · Aeroscope's Open Protocol
0.010
From Aeroscope's beginning, we set out to design a completely open protocol. We wanted to empower users to write their own apps because we knew we could never envision all the unique applications people would use Aeroscope for.

While we continue to be affected by the COVID-19 situation in India, including additional lockdowns, we have managed to carry out a series of three tests on each of the 192 maypoles produced in this batch. They are all working properly and we expect to pack them up and ship them to Crowd Supply before the end of the month. We've set the estimated ship date to the end of June, but we fully expect to ship before that. Thank you for your patience!

0.010
The day you have all been waiting for is finally here! The RoverWing campaign is finally launching on the Crowd Supply platform, after weeks of hard work and preparations to ensure that everyone who wants one gets a RoverWing as soon as possible.

Thank you to all of our backers who have supported us throughout this process. In order to guarantee that all RoverWings that are delivered are all perfectly functioning, we have been working on designing an automatic testing jig in order to perform quick quality control checks on every RoverWing that we deliver. We have also decided to release the parts list as well as an instructional tutorial on how to build a RoverWing Romi Robot kit.

The campaign got some new pledges, and we are now in much better shape to meet our funding goal! We're also extending the campaign end date. For today’s update, we wanted to discuss in depth one of the most important features of RoverWing: course correction using IMU. We also have some demo videos to share, including one from our participation in Adafruit's SHOW and TELL!

The biggest screen in your house would seem a logical place to integrate cloud apps, but TVs are walled gardens. While it's easy enough to hook up a laptop or PC and pop open a browser, there's no simple, open framework for integrating all that wonderful data over the TV's other inputs.
