After more than a year of design iterations and testing, we are happy to announce that the final enclosure design for HealthyPi Move is here, and our first production run of the new enclosure is complete.

Dream Dial is an interactive story recording and playback kiosk in the shape of a retro touchtone phone. The idea is to share your dreams — be they hopes for your future, actual sleeping dreams, or something in between. It's built from the casing and audio internals of a vintage executive desk phone, a Raspberry Pi with custom firmware, addressable RGB LEDs, dimensional lumber, an old Epson POS receipt printer, and ABS and acrylic plastics.

We missed our estimated shipping date by a couple of weeks, but Precursor is finally shipping to backers - more than half of the crowdfunding orders have already shipped and all outstanding orders should be shipped very soon. The global electronics supply chain is still a mess, but we remain undaunted. On the plus side, logistical delays freed up enough time to complete the first pass of a Braille version of Precursor!

We have finally received the LED panels from China. We are now fulfilling the main production tiers that contain LED panels. All other tiers that don’t contain LED panels are now officially fulfilled, not counting some more recent pre-orders placed in the last two months. Those pre-orders will be fulfilled after we send out all the LED panel containing tiers to the campaign backers.

The main reason why we haven’t posted an update recently is because we’ve been trying to get as much done as possible before the beginning of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
