The 0.9.14 release of Xous includes numerous quality-of-life improvements for Precursor users.

This update covers the release of Xous 0.8, the Precursor pre-boot process, the design of our test jigs, our preparations for EMC testing, and our various attempts to accelerate the manufacturing process.

Precursor is a mobile, open source electronics platform. Similar to how a Raspberry Pi or an Arduino can be transformed into an IoT gadget with the addition of a couple breakout boards, some solder, and a bit of code, Precursor is a framework upon which you can assemble a wide variety of DIY mobile applications. This update talks a bit about what makes Precursor unique, and then moves on to the ins and outs of our design philosophy.

Regarding the snickerdoodle production schedule: we’re still working with our CM and the PCB manufacturer on the last of the design modification requests.

Between the talks, workshops, presentations, demos, and installations at Teardown 2018, there was a lot of intense information to absorb at once. Luckily, we were able to record some of the speakers doing their thing so attendees could reflect back and those who weren't able to come physically are still able to participate.

Apologies for the radio silence – December was a quite the crazy month, but the good news is we were able to get another 167 snickerdoodle blacks delivered to Crowd Supply (on top of the 147 snickerdoodles delivered in November). Per the last stock count, CS has ~350 snickerdoodles (split evenly between ‘regulars’ and ‘blacks’) working their way out the door. We’ve started the process of getting another 200 or so delivered by the end of February, so more and more (extremely patient, kind, and understanding) backers should start seeing krtkl packages showing up on their doorstep!

WSDR is a software-defined radio hardware platform designed for developing, prototyping, and learning by leveraging a web-based approach. Wavelet Lab will demonstrate uSDR with different types of adapters and WSDR applications.

Apologies for the radio silence - we’ve been awaiting final delivery of all the parts needed for this next production run for the past several weeks and are *finally* on track to receive the last of the components by the end of this week (or so we’ve been told). That puts us another three or four weeks or so out from shipping another batch to Crowd Supply for fulfillment.
