Project Update · Increasing Yield Rate
0.020
In the sample run described in our last update, we had a yield rate of about 70%. We fixed several problems from our previous generations, but an issue we call “decalibration” persists. Fortunately, the motors that do work are performing very well, so we’re working hard to make production more reliable!

Gateway, 2SSR Module, and RGBW Module
Project Update · New entry-level home automation bundle
0.020
After launch, we realized that we had somehow skipped what we now believe is a very important product bundle. Previously, we had one bundle with an Ethernet Gateway and five MCU+Shield pairs, and another with ten MCU+Shield pairs. Those are both useful sets of GetWired boards, but they mostly target backers who are ready to wire up an apartment or a house (or at least an entire room). This new bundle is a smaller investment, but one that still allows you to build something practical while familiarizing yourself with the GetWired ecosystem.

Project Update · IQ at CES

I (Jon) was lucky enough to travel out to Las Vegas for CES with the group from HAX. It was a great opportunity to connect with people in the drone and robotics industry, and I got to see a lot of interesting new technology. Here are a few of the highlights.

Stacks of books with gleaming, gilded edges
First, I want to say wow! I did not expect such a response to this book. When preparing for the crowdfunding campaign, I modeled several scenarios, and none of them predicted an outcome like this...

We need just a few more days, so they will probably leave our office next week. After that, Crowd Supply will handle the fulfillment of all your orders. We will keep you informed about the dates. Project Update · Xous 0.9.10: Filing off Rough Edges

The development theme for the past two months has been "gloss": things that improve the user experience or clean up technical debt in the code base. Stuff like clearer documentation, performance improvements, working with community developers to pull in staged features, and better CI coverage.

Project Update · Sensor Board Delay
0.020
We'd like to appolozise for the delay in the production of the BLYST Nano sensor board. Initially, the design was based on the TDK MPU-9250, but by the time Crowd Supply campaign started that chip was announced end of life.

Again, thank you very much for your support of this project! All campaign and pre-orders have now been shipped. We have contributed to the Micropython codebase and you can now port Micropython to BLYST Nano boards. It has officially been merged to the main git repo.

Project Update · Approaching the Finish Line
0.020
It's been a few stressful weeks but we are getting close to the finish line. Like last time there's some good news and some bad news. The good news is that PCBs were delivered to my manufacturer about a week ago. Over the past few weeks, I have mostly been busy dealing with regulatory matters regarding CE, which has been quite stressful to say the least. Timing is not great considering recent and upcoming closures at my manufacturer. I'm sorry things are getting delayed once again, but I'm hopeful we are getting close now.
