This update will cover some technical details of **FPGA development** over CaribouLite and the **SMI interface**. Weekly questions from backers and answers come next, and finally we will have a special topic about the **real Caribou**.
KrakenSDR is now available for crowdfunding on Crowd Supply. It is a five-channel, RX-only, software-defined radio (SDR) based on the RTL-SDR and designed for phase-coherent applications and experiments. Phase-coherent SDR opens the door to some very interesting applications, including radio direction finding, passive radar, and beam forming. Come have a look at our campaign page to learn more!
Qorvo and Nordic have announced a joint reference design for a UWB-based smart lock application for Aliro and Matter and have started shipping their first production batch, welcome Vaaman to the Qorvo RF Accelerator, check out community projects using Discovery Dish, and Zeke Wheeler's upcoming talk at Teardown 2025.
Having a great hardware platform is one thing, but as any experienced engineer will tell you, this is only half of the story and you also need solid software support to realise the true potential of that hardware. So it's hardly surprising that we've had quite a few backers asking for more details of the driver software for LimeSDR and whether it will support this application or that application.
Hello supporters and backers.
After too long of a silence following the first production batch fulfillment, we are back to public firmware/software issue-solving, feature additions, and the next production batch.
Join us for the upcoming virtual Qorvo Design Summit, learn more about our new power management solutions, and check out the latest from the LimeRFE accelerator project.
We are thrilled to announce that the European Space Agency (ESA) have become an official backer of the LimeSDR Mini campaign, in support of developing innovative satellite telecommunications solutions based on Software Defined Radio (SDR), both on ground and in space.

It's been over a month since our last update so we thought we'd share some of the recent progress. As mentioned in our last update, during the month of February all manufacturing was shut down due to the Chinese New Year holiday. In early March, staff returned to the factories and began making progress on finishing Discovery Dish.
All components have been secured, and CaribouLite production continues. Unfortunately, we have had to delay delivery of CaribouLites until October. Those are the words we have been unable to say until now. We waited to be 100% sure, but, as of today, this has became our optimistic reality. Thank you for your patience! See below for the gruesome details...
We are excited to announce the launch of our new campaign. With up to 32x32 transmit/receive channels, XYNC is the ultimate Massive MIMO SDR at an affordable price.
