Electrodes for All

I wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to upgrade the electrode stickers to a well known brand with more features which includes better adhesion, greater contact area, and increased repositionability. The better adhesion allows the electrodes to be worn for a greater amount of time without fear of falling off (up to 3 days) and the increased repositionability allows the user to move the electrode around in case there is a mistake in application or if an experiment calls for looking at the ECG from various lead configurations. Increased contact area means better contact leading to decreased impedance and less interference from noise due to contact degradation. Pictured below is a comparison of the former stickers (top) and the upgraded ones (bottom). Read the full update.

The End is Just the Beginning

First of all, a big thanks to everyone that has pledged thus far. Suffice it to say the campaign is coming to an end, and it does not appear that it will be fully funded. This is not at all surprising as indeed this is a niche market and marketing or “spreading the word” has never been a strong point of mine. Nevertheless, I still stand by my intent of why I started this campaign in the first place – to help others that have a similar passion as me and to get others interested in the complex yet undeniable potential of electrophysiology for future applications in terms of medicine, security, and robotics.
