Dear Backers, SDR! SDR! SDR! Software. Defined. Radio. Say it because its fun! A couple weeks ago, the SDR stretch goal loomed like a distant mirage, something we set out there as a true stretch. And yet now, here we are, writing you to inform you that weve met one of our trigger criteria for the stretch goal a minimum of 200 combined units desktop/laptop/heirloom (system-level) units backed. ...

The uSDR PCIe driver and software libraries are compatible with ARM platforms. We tested it on the NVidia Jetson TX2. Plus, how to unlock max performance from uSDR with the Thunderbolt 3 adapter.

In this episode of the Teardown Sessions, we're speaking to Carl Laufer from RTL-SDR. They are running a Crowd Supply campaign for Discovery Dish, a system for weather and Inmarsat satellite reception, and hydrogen line radio astronomy for RTL-SDR users. The Discovery Dish aims to be the start of an ecosystem of hardware designed to get users set up with satellite reception, including a planned companion light-duty antenna rotator.

Welcome to our first update in 2024 for Discovery Dish. We hope everyone has had a great holiday season! Things are moving slowly but steadily towards the final product. Due to the looming Chinese New Year holidays, we don't expect much to be done before February in terms of production, but from March onwards we expect to see rapid progress. In the mean time while we wait for the factories to come back online, we are tweaking the prototypes, making a few improvements, and continually testing.

We are excited to announce that our campaign is now live on Crowd Supply! xMASS SDR is a modular, high-performance, 8x8 MIMO, PCIe software-defined radio (SDR) solution for 4G, 5G, and more. xMASS shares the same host code base as our uSDR board, which was released under the MIT license, and our universal support libraries are hosted on GitHub, all of which allows for an easy transition from uSDR to xMASS with minimal software modification requirements.
