After several months of development we are happy to present you three new open source hardware mini mechanical keyboards and knobs.

Our crowdfunding campaign ends soon and we have good news to share! A large batch of almost fully assembled, gold-plated, ANAVI Gardening uHAT printed circuit boards (PCBs) is ready.

ANAVI Macro Pad 8 is entirely open source product certified by the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA) with UID BG000072. Does it make any sense to make open source hardware with expensive proprietary software tools? Of course not! ANAVI Macro Pad 8, just like our other open source hardware products, was designed with free and open source tools such as KiCad and OpenSCAD. All schematics and resources for the hardware are available at GitHub under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International. It is powered by the open source QMK Firmware available in GitHub under GNU General Public License v2.0. Let's have a closer look at all these open source tools!

A couple of weeks ago we launched the crowdfunding of ANAVI Fume Extractor - an open source smart WiFi solder smoke absorber. Just like your favorite ANAVI Thermometer, ANAVI Fume Extractor is also powered by ESP8266 and over MQTT works with Home Assistant and other popular open source IoT platforms, and it's crowdfunding now! Also, join our Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Crowd Supply Discord channel this Wednesday at 1pm Pacific to learn more and discuss all of the entirely open source ANAVI projects.

In a previous update we explained how to build it from source and upload it on ANAVI Thermometer through Arduino IDE. However this is time consuming and requires a lot of configurations. If you just need to get the latest stable version the fastest and easiest way is to download a pre-compiled binary and flash it with esptool.

I have publish a short video tutorial to explain how to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

All kits with ANAVI Thermometer include a mini monochrome OLED display. It works out of the box with the default firmware for ANAVI Thermometer.
