To be eligible, your project must uniquely showcase AMD-Xilinx technology and pass the usual vetting process applied to all Crowd Supply projects. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis and solely at the discretion of AMD-Xilinx and Crowd Supply. To get started, submit your Crowd Supply project proposal and mention your interest in participating in the AMD-Xilinx FPGA Playground.
On December 15, 2021 Crowd Supply’s Helen Leigh discussed the Precursor project with its creators, bunnie and xobs. Precursor is a mobile device designed from the ground up with security and privacy in mind. At its heart is a low-power AMD-Xilinx Spartan 7-Series that runs a RISC-V core. It’s been about a year since their Crowd Supply campaign, and bunnie and xobs are hard at work preparing for delivery. To celebrate, we gave away a Precursor to one luck winner!
In February and March 2021, we gave away twenty Digilent Basys 3 trainer boards for the AMD-Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA, a self-guided WTFPGA beginners workbook, and a livestreamed online workshop with professional FPGA instructor Adam Taylor, which is archived below.
