Just wanted to send out a quick OpticSpy production update!

BeanCounter batteries
Thanks to the flood of interest in BeanCounter, we were able to meet our funding goal on launch day! This means we're going to production, and I can't tell you how excited I am to find out what a box of a few hundred BeanCounters looks like. Thank you again to everyone who made this campaign successful right out of the gate. This update also describes some practical battery-life testing I've been doing recently.

BeanCounter OSHWA certification
The first five panels of BeanCounters are entering assembly at PCBWay as you read this. These panels will be used to assess the build quality and make any necessary adjustments for the campaign fulfillment run.

We're pleased to announce the BeanCounters have been built, programmed, and packaged!

In a previous update, we introduced our work on Packetry, our new front-end software for using Cynthion to capture and analyze USB traffic on the wire. In this update, we're going to talk a bit more about the design of that software and explain some of the work we're doing to make it as fast and easy to use as possible.

We've patched U-Boot so that you can specify the device tree overlays it should load simply by editing a text file. This feature is not only great for developers, it provides an easier, less error-prone way for anybody to enable and use common FeatherWings.

Project Update · The Parts Are In

I have been organizing and building on stuff as it has come in. I even got a bit of help doing servo mods last weekend. I now have all of the parts needed to fulfill the crowd funding rewards and it looks like we will be able to get it all sent out near December 1st as expected. A few unexpected surprises have come up along the way. I found a really good line sensor that matches the price of t...

Dear Backers, We’ve completed the PVT over the Chinese holiday. Setting up the line and completing the programming for the pick and place and the AOI took 3 days and went as planned, so we now have PVT samples. The factory re-opened on Thursday Oct 5th, and we are now in the process of completing continuity board testing.
