Thank you to all those who have supported HeartyPatch over last almost 3 years. We are writing this update with mixed feelings as we transition from the original HeartyPatch project launched in mid-2017 to the production of a commercial, medical-grade wearable device for Cardiac monitoring and Cardiac care. As of now. This means that we will not be selling HeartyPatch through Crowd Supply and all other channels, as we transfer the HeartyPatch design to Patch Inc., a cardiac monitoring start-up based in Cambridge, MA, USA. This was done for a couple of reasons, as we'll explain in this update. Read the full update.
After a long wait since we shipped HealthyPi v3, we are happy to announce that HealthyPi v4 is here! Read the full update.
We have a new injection-moulded enclosure for the HeartyPatch. It has been a big adventure for us, this being our first foray into the vast moulded plastics field. All future orders of the HeartyPatch Deluxe Kit will contain this new enclosure! We hope you like it and look forward to your feedback. Read the full update.
We have some major changes to the TCP/Wi-Fi code for viewing the continuous ECG signal from the HeartyPatch. This does not have any effect on the R-to-R detection only code, though. Read the full update.
First, an update regarding shipping. There is a short delay in shipping out the third batch of devices. This is due to some customs clearance issues with the ECG "snap-in" buttons that are used with the HeartyPatch. Read the full update.
We hope most of you have received your HeartyPatch by now and are enjoying using it. We have had a number of questions from users about several features - answers addressed one-by-one. Read the full update.
After our delay in shipping the devices on time because of certain battery issues, we have confirmed that the second batch of devices that we shipped last week has arrived at Crowd Supply's warehouse. All backers who placed orders in the crowd-funding phase and most of you that placed pre-orders should receive your orders shortly. Read the full update.
Crowd Supply has started shipping out the first 50 units of HeartyPatch to those that have ordered the HeartyPatch board only (without the enclosure). The reason behind this decision relates to a mistake that was made in the enclosure design; read on for more. Read the full update.
HeartyPatches are now in Crowd Supply's US warehouse being prepared to ship! Also, a note about the enclosure. Read the full update.
We have not posted an update for a while now, since we've been busy with production and testing of the HeartyPatch for shipping. Thank you to all our backers who made this happen. Read the full update.
A big thank you to all our initial supporters for keeping us going. We are happy that our campaign was funded and we intend to start assembly and delivery as planned. All products will be shipped on time to all backers. You will hear from us before we are ready to ship. Read the full update.
Stress is a physiological condition that can be caused by various external stimuli or by our own minds and is mostly considered to be bad (there are also forms of "good" stress). Stress could range from physical stress to mental stress because of excessive cognitive activity (a bad day at the office!). It has been found that stress is a major factor in the cause of several diseases including cardiac disease, and there are a lot of statistics on these issues. Read the full update.
HeartyPatch supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality with the heartrate monitor profile giving the real-time heartrate as well as R-R intervals. This means that it is now compatible with all common heartrate monitoring and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) apps. Read the full update.
Heart rate is the data you get from a regular heart rate monitor like a chest-worn belt or a wrist-worn band based on optical sensors. The heart rate computed by these devices is an averaged value of the R-R intervals (explained in the main page) calculated over a period of time. Read the full update.
HeartyPatch is now available to order. HeartyPatch is an ECG patch that's open source, affordable, and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connected. There is a limited number of units with early bird pricing available. Don't forget to help spread the word on this worthwhile project. Read the full update.
Now that we have successfully completed (and delivered!) our HealthyPi campaign, also on Crowd Supply, we are back to full steam ahead towards completion of the HeartyPatch. We've made some considerable progress, and we wanted to share them with you. Read the full update.
