I am thrilled to announce the official release of **Loko**, the world's smallest LoRa GPS tracker with +200 days of battery life.

After the last week's FAQ, some of you were asking about MIDI input and output and how to attach other peripherals to PICO DSP and control their parameters. Here's our answer!

Hi folks, hope everyone is keeping well, a quick update on a couple of things...

We've quite a bit to cover in this update so we'll try and keep things quick and on point...the first thing to talk about is...As these devices are just about to leave our workbenches out into the wild, a few of you had been in touch over the last few months about the product name, thanks again to the people who we've had conversations with about this! From this point onward, and before they go to any retail partners, these devices will now be named.... "PÚCA DSP".

We’re excited to present the Omega2 LTE, the next step in our community’s evolving vision for an IoT computer. It builds on everything we’ve done with the Omega2 family and adds 4G LTE connectivity and GNSS global positioning. Just like how the original Omega allowed developers to use high-level programming languages to create WiFi-based IoT devices, the Omega2 LTE now does the same thing for cellular applications.

Project Update · The SYZYGY Origin Story (Part I)

The SYZYGY standard was a response to customer demand for a flexible, well-defined, modern interface between an FPGA and off-the-shelf peripheral modules.

I've been working on a number of different aspects of PlainDAQ lately. In particular, I've been cost optimizing the PCB, picking components that are easy to source, and working on an intuitive graphical user interface.

First, we figured out the snickerdoodle yield issue that’s been plaguing us for months. After chasing down countless leads and testing hypothesis after hypothesis – mystifying even the Xilinx support engineers in the process – we deductively narrowed the problem down to an undocumented function within the Zynq BootROM.

Apologies for the radio silence – December was a quite the crazy month, but the good news is we were able to get another 167 snickerdoodle blacks delivered to Crowd Supply (on top of the 147 snickerdoodles delivered in November). Per the last stock count, CS has ~350 snickerdoodles (split evenly between ‘regulars’ and ‘blacks’) working their way out the door. We’ve started the process of getting another 200 or so delivered by the end of February, so more and more (extremely patient, kind, and understanding) backers should start seeing krtkl packages showing up on their doorstep!

Apologies for the radio silence - we’ve been awaiting final delivery of all the parts needed for this next production run for the past several weeks and are *finally* on track to receive the last of the components by the end of this week (or so we’ve been told). That puts us another three or four weeks or so out from shipping another batch to Crowd Supply for fulfillment.

Project Update · Thank You and Some News

Thank you to all those who have supported HeartyPatch over last almost 3 years. We are writing this update with mixed feelings as we transition from the original HeartyPatch project launched in mid-2017 to the production of a commercial, medical-grade wearable device for Cardiac monitoring and Cardiac care. As of now. This means that we will not be selling HeartyPatch through Crowd Supply and all other channels, as we transfer the HeartyPatch design to Patch Inc., a cardiac monitoring start-up based in Cambridge, MA, USA. This was done for a couple of reasons, as we'll explain in this update.
