In today's update, we will talk about MQTT support and highlight some additional GetWired modules that are not part of this crowdfunding campaign – one that is already in production and three more than are currently in various stages of the design process. In addition, we are announcing a reduction of our funding goal. GetWired is happening, my friends!

In order to make the use of Maker LED display more simple, and to have different geometric shapes, texts, images printed on it, it is necessary to use appropriate libraries.

Project Update · Browsing the Sky For GNSS Satellites

The iotSDR has a Max2769 GNSS front-end chip capable of receiving on the GNSS L1 band. GNSS systems are similar, in some respects, to satellite communication systems. They provide a unique set of features that we believe justifies the inclusion of such a specialized receiver chip. This update covers one possible application of that feature set.

The 3.3/5 V super-efficient regulator that snaps right on your 9 V battery.

Microchip’s AT86RF215 is a multi-band radio transceiver with dual Radio RF Front-ends—one sub-GHz and one at 2.4 GHz—that cover nearly all of the unlicensed IoT bands, making it ideal for all-in-one IoT solutions. This update delves into those capabilities and discusses a few of the ways in which iotSDR takes advantage of them.

OSHW
EEZ BB3's IoT functionality began with SCPI support. We then gave EEZ Studio the ability to serve as a cross-platform automation hub for SCPI-enabled instruments connected over Ethernet or through serial-over-USB. Finally, to round out this IoT feature set, we have added MQTT support. Finally, we are happy to announce that EEZ BB3 is now OSHWA-certified as open hardware.

Here's a look at some key features of our latest firmware release, v.1.7. Also, an important note for users of two-channel BB3s.

EEZ BB3
The EEZ BB3 chassis comes with a backplane that distributes data and control signals. That backplane also provides four relays that support easy, firmware-level coupling of power outputs without the need for external wiring. This update includes a video that describes BB3's power output coupling functionality. It also announce our campaign's first stretch goal!

EEZ DIB PREL6 PCB
The main news for this update is that our TFT display supplier in China has announced an additional three to four week delay due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Unfortunately, they cannot yet provide a delivery estimate or let us know when production will stabilize. In the meantime, we have designed two new peripheral modules, which are now ready for prototyping.
