Production is going well and all parts are in from boxes, packing slips, flexPCBs, electrode cables and more. We are just waiting for the main PCB fab to complete, then will move on to kitting and mailing out. In the meantime, here are some stories from our travels!

Lung cross-section at a single 50 kHz frequency
I've had a couple of question about safety as well as quite a few with questions about spatial resolution. Here I'll talk about IEC safety and some exciting work to obtain higher resolution.

What is the underlying impedance data signal that Spectra uses, anyway? It's pretty amazing and totally different from EEG and ECG.

Project Update · We Told You It Is Powerful
0.010
First off, a huge thank you to all of our backers thus far. We are excited to see what you will build with the Winkel Board. With this build example we wanted to show that Winkel Board is really powerful and while it is more than ideal for basic builds, it can pull off many advanced builds as well. So we decided to showcase what Winkel Board could achieve with it's huge I/O set and ATmega128's processing power.

With two 2.5 Gb Ethernet interfaces, Mixtile Blade 3 is perfect for server applications, and its low-latency, 4x PCIe Gen3 edge connector allows you to scale your deployment by leveraging multiple boards. Furthermore, its on-board neural processing unit (NPU) enhances AI-workload performance and provides extensive support for machine-learning with a 6-TOPS compute performance. This update walks through various quantitative benchmarks that demonstrate the level of performance provided by Mixtile Blade 3.

Project Update · Post-Campaign Orders
0.010
On August 31st, 2021, I personally handed the last laptop from the crowdfunded first batch of MNT Reforms to its owner in Berlin. This concluded an almost half year marathon of assembling laptops in our studio. My coworkers Greta and Magda did incredible work putting all the parts together, printing components, sewing sleeves, and packaging everything for shipping. We had only a very short break before going into the next phase, which is shipping all the devices ordered after June 18, 2020. We call this the "post-crowdfunding" phase. The orders from this phase will be fulfilled by Crowd Supply/Mouser through their US warehouse, so the process is a bit different for us and we have to solve a different set of formalities before we can ship out the first batch. This is now mostly completed and the first batch of ~40 devices is scheduled to leave our premises in the next couple of weeks. We go into further detail about the shipping schedule, talk about the new firmware update, show off a smoother trackball and more in the rest of this update.
